The number of female drivers at Taxis Albufeira has doubled in the last 10 years.
The taxi driver profession has been captivating some women at Taxis Albufeira. Currently, 11 women work in a universe of 105 taxis. In the last 10 years, this number has doubled. We went to hear their opinions on what it’s like to be a woman and a driver today.
These women shared their stories and highlighted that what most attracted them to the profession was the enjoyment of driving, the sense of freedom, and the interaction with different people every day, some from Albufeira and others who are in the city on vacation.
